Minthorne Gallery
For me, things are so much more impressive and beautiful when I have an understanding of the creation process. Otherwise I get the “what? That’s not art. I can do that!” complex. Lucky for me I had Breanne with me to explain what throwing a pot is and the difference between that and coiling. Knowing a little bit of the process made each piece even more incredible. My favorite pieces were the totems. I had never seen anything like it before.

I read the explanation of the technique used to create the painting, incredible. It was really neat to see big paintings of people that I see around campus.

Studio 3 – Breanne
Wow. I have never seen pen & ink drawings paired with a splash of colorful background. The contrast was amazing. I couldn’t stop looking at the details of the buildings.

Trust. Learning to trust. Security

My vision for this theme was to capture the trust in a new relationship. Whether it be the trust and security in a boyfriend girlfriend relationship or that of a young child and a parent.
